David Maitre

I currently live in Maple Ridge with my wife of 25 years, Monique, and our 3 children. I’ve been a licensed real estate agent since 2005, proudly serving Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, the Tri-Cities, and Mission areas. I also travel frequently to Surrey, Langley, and Abbotsford.

After having trained in mechanical engineering at UBC, I decided that, while I enjoyed the technical challenges that engineering afforded, I wanted to work in a field that allowed me to more closely work with people, and that offered more variety in day-to-day activities. I started a couple of small companies, and worked my way into sales, where I quickly appreciated the fact that a person’s success is only limited by their skill and by how much work they put in. Flourishing in that type of environment, I obtained my real estate license in 2005.

In 2006, my first full calendar year as a real estate agent, I was awarded the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s “Rookie of the Year” award, which recognized the top-selling new agent by volume, regardless of brokerage – as I outsold all new agents in the REBGV area that year. Since then, I have often been in the top 1or 2% of all agents within the REBGV, having consistently achieved membership in the Medallion Club (top 10%) and several President’s Club (top 1%) placements.

As a husband and father of three children, I've come to appreciate good value. This is why I am happy to work with One Percent Realty. I can provide great service and good value to my clients. My clients get the same or better services, same types of marketing, and same results while paying thousands less than they might pay elsewhere.

In my off-time, I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking – doing almost anything in nature. If I have the time, I might pick up my saxophone or dabble on the piano or guitar. My family and I can be found weekly at the Maple Ridge Alliance Church.

I have an insatiable curiousity about almost everything, which makes me a strong believer in being a life-long learner. I enjoy reading about various topics, and I am (very slowly) working my way towards an MA from Regent College, which is located at UBC.

Clients have often told me that I am down-to-earth and very enjoyable to work with. By nature, I enjoy approaching everything in life with a sense of humour, though I am, first and foremost, extremely thorough, conscientious, and detail-oriented. I feel that regardless of what a person does, it should be done to the best of his or her ability with the utmost in honesty and integrity, and I try to live my life this way on a day-to-day basis. If there’s anything I can do to help you with your real estate needs, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
